Exeros Discovery™ Overview

Before you can implement a master data management, data lineage or sensitive data discovery project, you have to know what data you have, where it is located and how it is related between systems. While software products exist today to move, profile and cleanse data, these products don’t address the discovery and debugging of the cross-system business rules and transformation logic that relate systems to each other. Exeros Validator™ Overview

Data is constantly changing and shifting as it moves across your distributed data landscape. Human error and software bugs cause data errors that violate business rules to be propagated across the company. Additionally, business rules, data relationships and transformation logic are constantly changing. If your distributed data environment isn't monitored and remediated, data consistency and quality will decay causing discrepancies that result in poor business decisions or mistakes that violate regulatory requirements.

Exeros Validator audits the quality across your data landscape by monitoring business rules over time both within and between data sources. Exeros Validator provides a complete platform to identify exceptions and inconsistencies within and between data sources as well as enable data stewards to remediate and fix those exceptions in an ongoing, repeatable and verifiable process. Data sources that can be validated include relational databases, text files or mainframe data that can be exported to text.

Exeros Validator provides a complete workflow for managing the validation and remediation process :

• Automatically imports business rules discovered by Exeros Discovery or manually enter business rules
• Validate the entire data set or just incremental operational data
• Schedule validation jobs to run whenever you want them on an ongoing basis
• Check for data inconsistencies ,anomalies and set exception thresholds for exceptions found in:

  • Cross system business rules and transformations
• Data steward interface for remediation of exceptions
